Ambassadors in the Media
This blog post will serve as a place for updated postings and links to examples of CRS Student Ambassador events, work and efforts on their campuses being featured in the media. Migration and Refugees
Saint Mary's College (of Notre Dame, IN): Featured in The Observer for their presentation on "I am Migration" during Justice Friday event on campus.
Cabrini University: Featured in The Loquitur for their vigil for Syrian refugees.
Saint Vincent College: Featured on the Saint Vincent College website for hosting "Remember, You too were once Strangers" Prayer Vigil in solidarity with refugees.
Cabrini University: CRS Student Ambassador offers a personal reflection on the call to stand in solidarity with refugees.
Villanova University: Featured in the Villanovan for hosting the event "Who Are Refugees?" which brought together more than 100 students, faculty and vistors for the discussion.
Benedictine College (Atchison, KS): Ambassadors featured in The Circuit for hosting their first event within the "I am Human Trafficking" campaign.
University of Scranton: Ambassadors were featured in a press release from the University of Scranton on their website for having the Lackawanna Bar Foundation sponsor their human trafficking seminar.
Villanova University: Ambassadors were featured in The Villanovan for work they are doing on campus to educate students about human trafficking.
Manhattan College: Students and faculty worked together to help provide clean water to those in Ghana.
University of Louisiana at Lafayette: Ambassadors featured in The Vermillion for their efforts to bring fair trade products to their campus bookstore.
Xavier University of Louisiana: Ambassadors featured in the Clarion Herald for sharing their experiences and passion for faith and global solidarity in Lafayette at the African-American Catholic Youth Congress
Students at Spelman College, Emory University, Morehouse College, Atlanta University Center, University of North Georgia, Georgia State University and Clark University recognized by The Georgia Bulletin for the work they do with CRS in carrying out its mission for justice, peace and human dignity.
CRS Student Ambassadors at Saint John's University are featured in this brief video clip about SJU becoming a CRS Global Campus.
Saint John's University: Professor of Anthropology Anne M. Galvin, Ph.D., received a Global Research Grant from CRS to support research on her project “Industrial Entanglements: The Black River as Political Ecological Agent in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica.”
Saint Martin's University (Lacey, WA): CRS Student Ambassador program received a grant to strengthen their efforts on campus.
University of Maryland: Featured in the Diamondback for helping raise money to send supplies to the victims in Haiti who were affected by Hurrican Matthew.
